Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains the limited information SproutLingo handles through its public marketing website and adult waitlist.

Website operator

SproutLingo operates this website and waitlist. In this notice, “SproutLingo,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the SproutLingo website and waitlist.

Scope

The website introduces SproutLingo and its planned family conversation experience. It does not currently provide product accounts, payments, subscriptions, child profiles, or a functioning family product.

Waitlist information

When the public waitlist is activated, SproutLingo plans to collect an adult subscriber’s first name, email address, consent choice, confirmation status, subscription and unsubscribe status, and limited email delivery information such as delivery, bounce, and suppression records. We use this information to manage the waitlist, document and verify the subscriber’s request, send confirmation and subscription-status messages, communicate material changes affecting the waitlist, provide directly requested information about SproutLingo’s launch or availability, troubleshoot delivery, and maintain suppression lists. We do not currently use the waitlist to send promotional offers or general marketing campaigns.

Double confirmation and unsubscribe

Subscribers will be asked to confirm their email address before joining the list. Waitlist messages will identify SproutLingo as the sender and provide a way to leave the waitlist or stop non-essential messages. A subscriber may also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@sproutlingo.com. We may verify a request by asking the requester to respond from the email address associated with our records or by using other information reasonably necessary to confirm identity and authority. We will use information submitted for verification only to evaluate and respond to the request.

Children’s information

The waitlist is intended only for adults age 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live). SproutLingo does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website and does not ask for children’s names, ages, schools, birthdates, recordings, responses, or other child information. Please do not submit information about children. If we learn that a child’s personal information was submitted through the website or waitlist, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child’s information was submitted may contact us at hello@sproutlingo.com.

Service providers

SproutLingo plans to use Brevo to manage waitlist contacts, consent records, and email delivery; OpenAI Sites to host and operate the website; and Hostinger to support domain and business-email services. These service providers may process personal and technical information on our behalf as needed to provide, secure, support, and troubleshoot their services, subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

SproutLingo does not currently add analytics, advertising trackers, behavioral advertising, or third-party advertising to this website. Essential hosting, email, and security technologies may automatically process limited technical information, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages or resources requested, timestamps, referring information, cookie or similar identifiers, server and error logs, and security events, as needed to deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website and communications. If we later add non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this notice and provide any notice or consent mechanism required by applicable law.

Retention and sharing

We retain active subscriber information while a person remains subscribed and for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice. After an unsubscribe request, we may retain limited information—including the email address, consent history, delivery records, and unsubscribe or suppression status—to honor the request, document compliance, prevent accidental resubscription, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, security, and provider requirements. Retention periods may vary by record type and applicable obligation; information will be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed. SproutLingo does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information to service providers that process it on our behalf, in connection with a business transaction, to protect rights, safety, and security, or when required by law. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, we do not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link; we will update this notice and provide an opt-out mechanism if our practices change.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access to or information about personal information we maintain about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or a portable copy. You may also have the right to appeal a decision on a request and to receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email hello@sproutlingo.com and describe the right you wish to exercise. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and identity. If we deny a request, we will provide an explanation and any available appeal instructions. These rights apply only to the extent provided by applicable law.

International transfers

If you access the website or join the waitlist from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we will use an appropriate legal basis or safeguard for the transfer.

Changes

This notice may be updated as the website and SproutLingo product develop. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
